What is a scrub set — and do you still sell them?

A scrub set is a matching scrub top and scrub pants in the same brand, fabric, and colour — bought together to create a coordinated clinical uniform. It's one of the most common searches we see from nurses, healthcare students, and clinic managers who want to arrive on shift looking put-together without spending time hunting for a matching pant.

At Infectious we no longer sell scrub sets as pre-packaged bundles. Instead, tops and pants are sold separately — which is actually better for most buyers, because you can mix sizes (a common need when your top and pants are different sizes), choose your leg style, and customise the combination to suit your workplace and body shape.

The matching is built into the site. Every product page shows the coordinating pants under Complete the Look, so finding your matching bottom takes one click, not a search. This guide walks you through the best matching combinations by brand and covers how to build a coordinated uniform that works for your role, your workplace colour code, and your fit preference.

How to build a matching scrub set at Infectious 1. Find your top in the brand and colour you need.
2. On the product page, scroll to Complete the Look — Matching Items and select your matching pant.
3. Both items go into the cart.
Tops and pants are available in the same colour range across Dickies EDS Signature, Cherokee Infinity, and Wink W123 — the three most popular matching combinations are covered below.

Why matching matters in a clinical uniform

Most healthcare facilities and hospitals have a dress code — and in many of them, that dress code specifies a colour. NSW Health, for example, uses navy for Registered Nurses, ceil blue for Enrolled Nurses, eggplant for midwives, and hunter green for doctors. Queensland Health, WA Health, and most private hospital networks have similar systems. When your top and pants are different shades of the same colour — which happens when you mix brands — you stand out for the wrong reason, particularly in strict dress-code environments.

Buying your top and pants from the same brand and the same collection guarantees colour consistency, because they're dyed in the same batch to the same specification. A Dickies EDS Navy top will match a Dickies EDS Navy pant. Cross-brand matching — a Dickies top with a Cherokee pant in "navy" — often results in a visible mismatch under clinical lighting.

Cherokee Infinity scrub sets — the performance choice

Cherokee Infinity is the premium performance option in our range. Where Dickies EDS is a cotton-poly blend, Cherokee Infinity uses a 95% polyester / 5% spandex fabric that delivers 360° stretch, moisture-wicking, and antimicrobial properties. It's lighter, moves more freely, and is preferred by nurses and allied health workers who need maximum mobility — particularly in surgical, theatre, and acute environments.

The hero pant in the Cherokee Infinity range is the CK110A jogger — one of the best-reviewed scrub pants we carry. It pairs with any Cherokee Infinity top in the same colour and creates the most comfortable scrub combination available at Infectious for active clinical work.

Wink W123 scrub sets — 4-way stretch, the most inclusive size range

Wink W123 is built from 100% microfibre polyester with 4-way stretch — a fabric that's famously soft, extremely durable, and available in one of the widest size ranges of any scrubs brand: XXS through 5XL with dedicated petite and tall inseam options. It's particularly popular with nurses who find standard sizing doesn't accommodate their body shape well.

The hero matching combination is the 6155 top with the 5155 pant — both in the same 4-way stretch microfibre, available in the same colour range, and between them accounting for over 95 customer reviews. If you prefer a jogger-style pant over a straight leg, the 5555 Comfort Waist Cargo Jogger pairs with any W123 top in a matching colour.

Printed scrub sets — what's available

Printed scrubs are one of our most popular categories — animal prints, florals, geometric patterns, and seasonal designs across Cherokee and Dickies. However, fully printed sets (a matching printed top and printed pants in the same pattern) are not available. Print production runs are smaller than solids, and coordinating printed pants in the same pattern are not stocked.

The standard approach for printed scrubs is to pair your printed top with a solid-colour pant in a matching base colour — a navy floral top with navy Dickies EDS pants, for example, or a teal geometric with teal Wink W123 pants. When you open a printed top's product page, the Complete the Look section shows the best-selling solid pants to coordinate with it.

Maternity scrub sets

Maternity scrubs at Infectious are designed as coordinating pieces rather than pre-packaged sets. Maternity-specific tops and pants are available in Dickies EDS and Wink W123, and the Complete the Look section on each maternity top's product page surfaces the matching maternity pant. Because maternity sizing involves body changes across a pregnancy, buying separately lets you mix sizing as your shape changes — which most pregnant nurses find more practical than a fixed bundle.

Building a matching set for your clinic or hospital team

If you're a practice manager, ward manager, or clinic owner ordering matching uniforms for a team, the process is the same — choose a brand, colour, top, and pant combination, and order in the sizes your team needs. We can add embroidery (clinic logo, staff names, role titles) to any top, pant, or outer layer, with no minimum order.

For larger clinic orders — particularly where you have multiple staff in different sizes and want to ensure colour consistency across the whole team — our business orders team can assist with sizing, stock holds, and a reorder process that keeps new starters consistent with the existing team's uniform.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell scrub sets (top and pants together)?

We don't sell pre-bundled sets where the top and pants are a single SKU. Tops and pants are sold separately, which lets you mix sizes (common when your top and pants are different sizes) and choose your preferred pant style. The matching is built into the product page — every top shows coordinating pants under Complete the Look, so finding your match takes one click.

How do I make sure my top and pants match in colour?

Buy both from the same brand and the same collection — for example, both from Dickies EDS Signature, or both from Wink W123. Colour names like "Navy" or "Ceil Blue" are consistent within a brand's range but can vary slightly between brands. Cross-brand matching is possible for neutral colours (black works well across brands) but can show visible differences in clinical lighting for specific colours like navy, eggplant, or hunter green.

Which scrub brand makes the best matching set?

Dickies EDS Signature is the most popular for colour-coded hospital environments — it has the widest colour range, covers every major health system colour, and the 86706 top + 86106 pant combination is the most-reviewed pairing we sell. Cherokee Infinity is the best choice for maximum stretch and performance. Wink W123 is the softest and most inclusive for fit. All three are equally matched in colour consistency within the brand.

Do you have matching printed scrub sets?

Not as a matching printed top and printed pants in the same pattern — printed pant production runs are small and we don't stock them. The standard approach is to pair a printed top with a solid-colour pant in a coordinating base colour. The Complete the Look section on each printed top's product page shows the best-matching solid pants.

Can I get my scrub set embroidered?

Yes — we offer in-house embroidery on both tops and pants, with no minimum order. Clinic logos, staff names, and role titles are the most common requests. Turnaround is 5–7 business days after artwork approval. You can add embroidery when you add either item to your cart, or contact our team for clinic-wide orders.
